The appetite for pig meat for both domestic and export in the region is huge this has encouraged the directors to start a pig breeding unit built in a pig free region to ensure that the strict biosecurity can allow the sale of healthy animals to the multiplication farms.
Origin Genetics was chosen to supply great grandparent pedigree Large White, Landrace and Duroc as the base for the breeding pyramid. This initial importation will be supported by the importation of both fresh and frozen pig semen to maintain the genetic improvement.
