It’s been a busy and rewarding eight days for UKTAG and UKECP.
On Thursday 22nd, Rob attended the BKS supper at the House of Lords, in his position as Agri-adviser to the society, which saw a tremendous turnout to discuss collaboration between Kazakhstan and the UK. The evening prompted excellent conversation, and he was fortunate to be seated with Abay Besken (Embassy of Kazakhstan, London) and David Skeels (BKS), among others.
Monday then brought a networking event at the French Residence focused on UK–French trade, hosted by H.E. Hélène Duchêne and organised by Business France. This was a superbly executed event, with a strong turnout and an impressive matching system that helped connect like-minded guests. With Rob once again promoting UK Agri tech and our livestock genetic industry.
The week concluded back at the House of Lords for a reception funded by Stream BioEnergy and expertly organised by Tammy Dawson Doughty. The event provided fascinating insight into biomethane and its potential role within agriculture, controlling waste and environmental agri-pollution. It was a privilege to have UKTAG represented and to explore how this technology could support overseas agricultural development.
